Trapped: Mental Illness in America’s Prisons
I found the above link in Mind Hacks. It talks about a project of photographer Jenn Ackerman. She is making an essay on Kentucky’s correctional facility for prisoners with mental illness called Trapped:Mental Illness in America’s Prisons. For she now she has made an excellent video, that contains an overview of the concept, as well as, videos about the inmate watchers (see the site for more details) and, the most shocking and interesting of all, videos with mentally ill inmates. There is also a very good photo gallery.
Her project is not finished and she’s looking for ideas and support, so I guess anyone who could offer any of these would help a lot towards the completion of this excellent project.
